It takes only 2000 valid signatures in Wisconsin to get on the ballot as

a presidential candidate. Here in NC, to get on a ballot, you must have the signatures of 4% of the registered voters in a district when there was no candidates in the primary. Two years ago, after a court ordered redistricting, a candidate attempted to get on the ballot, and he came up just short of the 3500 names required for a run for a state senator position.
